My goal for this image was to have the sun directly behind the tree, unfortunately the low laying clouds on the horizon didn’t get the memo regarding my intentions. The tree is one of my favorites to shoot on Guam but unfortunately it was been badly damaged over the past couple of months. I decided to capture it from a distance to hide some of the damage of the tree. Also, it forced me to shoot with a long lens which limits my ability to process it with Photomatix.
